Mission Statement
Our mission is to leave a lasting legacy for the children, staff and Administration of YBES by providing resources to enhance the classroom environment, provide new educational opportunities for the students, and support the needs of the school and wider community. This is done with a focus on technology, science, literary enrichment, mental health and charitable giving.
What Do Your Donations Support?
The Youth's Benefit Educational Foundation and the YBES PTA work together to raise funds to support our school community. The Gatorthon fundraiser is our only fundraiser and 100% of your donations go to support our your student and the school community. Below are items that were purchased with your donations from the 2023 Gatorthon Fundraiser.

$6,700 Kindergarten Classroom Refresh. This includes toys, games, puzzles, furniture

$5,600 3 School-wide assemblies: AG Lab, Maryland Science Center, Drumming

$2,000 Reading Month: books, author visit, giveaways to students

$5,100 Bookfair: Each classroom received $100 worth of books for their library

$900 Carson Reading Room

$18,500 NEW Projector for the Gymnasium

$5,700 Online subscriptions used in classrooms: Dreambox, First in Math, Starfall, Pebble Go, Reading A to Z

$600 reading education for teachers

$52,00 Given to PTA to use for field trips, environmental club, school wide events, and so much more!
Total: $97,100 spent. Without your donations, many of these items and events would not be available to your student.

Board of Directors
The Youth’s Benefit Education Foundation is led by a volunteer Board of Directors working to raise private funds through events and fundraising by partnering with the PTA and the YBES Administration to provide a unified benefit to students.
